Leadership for Change Program (2016) ESPOL - UCUENCA

Convocation from June 03 to June 20, 2016

The Leadership for Change Program started in Latin America in 2002, with the objective of identifying and training leaders of the civil society, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), professional and community associations, academic institutions, and social control organizations, among others

Since 2007, the Program has trained more than 3,500 individuals in Ecuador, promoting the emergence of a new generation of leaders who are capable of facing the main demands of the Ecuadorean society. During 2015, the University of Cuenca and the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) joined efforts to provide comprehensive training to 242 Ecuadoreans in Guayaquil, Cuenca, Chordeleg, Santa Elena, and Vinces. For 2016, the consortium has opened a period for applications aimed at all those interested in participating in a new edition of the Leadership for Change Program.

In order to strengthen the exercise of leadership and generate skills for the management of adequate tools and technical capacities, this initiative has trained more than 26,000 citizens throughout 6 countries of Latin America, playing an essential role in the construction of an inclusive society, with country vision and democratic values.
