Workshop for the development of technological patents
Convocation from June 16 to June 28, 2021
The Caribbean Industrial Research Institute (CARIRI), the Trinidad and Tobago Intellectual Property Office (TTIPO) and the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) will be co-hosting a virtual workshop on "The Development of Technological Patents."
The Caribbean Industrial Research Institute (CARIRI), the Trinidad and Tobago Intellectual Property Office (TTIPO) and the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) will be co-hosting a virtual workshop on "The Development of Technological Patents." The workshop is designed to outline and develop patent applications and is based on the CAF Method for Accelerated Patent Development. The method is designed to rapidly conceptualize novel technology and validate their patentability. It focuses primarily on engineering technologies which do not require prior validation in laboratories or prototype testing.
The workshop will cater for a maximum of twelve (12) teams of 3 - 4 persons and will be delivered through six (6) virtual 3-hour sessions on:

- Friday 18 Jun, 2021
- Monday 21 Jun, 2021
- Wednesday 23 Jun, 2021
- Friday 25 Jun, 2021
- Monday 28 Jun, 2021
Sessions will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon each day.
We are inviting you to register a Team (3 - 4) persons to participate in this workshop. There is a small registration fee of TT$500 plus VAT payable to CARIRI. You may register by contacting us at bsu@cariri.com before Jun 4, 2021.
