International contest call for the BRT preliminary studies in Fortaleza
The international call opened for the development of engineering studies and preliminary designs for the BRT Washington Soares corridor in the city of Fortaleza. These are necessary to carry out the basic and executive projects of the transportation works in the area of the Urban Transportation program of Fortaleza
The development of these studies and preliminary designs must take into consideration the basic concepts of sustainable mobility in order to reduce the environmental and social impacts resulting from the predominant use of automobiles, seeking to address the current movements without compromising the capacity of future generations of addressing their own needs.
The following are the studies and preliminary designs to be developed:

The projects must include the following technical elements, albeit not limited to this relation, and developed in compliance with ABNT norms as well as other pertinent norms. Proposals will not be accepted if they do not comply with the Brazilian regulatory framework; however, if the local regulatory framework is not enough, international norms will be considered.
The designs and graphic representations of the object to be executed must be developed so that they may be visualized at an adequate scale, showing the shapes, dimensions, functioning, and specifications defined in plants, cuts, and details.
Descriptive documents: must include the technical solutions adopted and the detail of the projected object, as well as show full knowledge of the project as a complement to the information included in the designs.
