Governance, Policy Management, and Public Management (2016) UCUENCA - ESPOL
The Governance, Policy Management, and Public Management Program was created in Latin America in 2001, as a response to the need to strengthen the region's institutional development, train public officials, and guarantee the efficiency of the processes to design and implement governmental public policies
Since 2003, the Program has graduated more than 1,700 participants in Ecuador, becoming a solid training alternative for the institutions of the local and regional government in that country. During 2015, the University of Cuenca and the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) joined efforts to train 103 Ecuadoreans in the cities of Guayaquil, Cuenca, and Loja. To guarantee the sustainability of this initiative, in 2016 the consortium opened a period of application aimed at those interested in participating in a new edition of the Governance, Policy Management, and Public Management Program.
With more than 16,000 graduates throughout nine countries of Latin America, the Governance, Policy Management, and Public Management Program currently constitutes a key tool to strengthen the States' capacities in the region.
