Latin American Course on Management of University Voluntary Service
August 31 to September 05, 2016Applications are open for the new edition of the Latin American Course on Management of University Voluntary Service, to be held in virtual format from September 19th to November 14th
The proposal is aimed at those responsible for voluntary service and social intervention in the universities of the region. The training is distributed in three modules: Module 1: Reflection on the mission of universities; Module 2: Legal and promotion instruments existing in and outside the universities; Module 3: Tools for the management of university volunteer service and experiences with their use.
Those interested must apply until September 5th through the online form of the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional de Argentina. The Letter of Endorsement, from the university of origin may also be downloaded here, and must be sent by electronic mail to aprorsu@rec.utn.edu.ar
The course, in its fifth edition, has included the participation of more than 500 representatives from 90 Higher Education institutions in more than 14 countries of the region.
The initiative is promoted by the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional de Argentina(UTN) through its University Social Responsibility Program and University Volunteer Service (PRORSU, for its acronym in Spanish), with the support of Social Innovation at CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science, and Culture (OEI), the Union of Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean (UDUAL), the Ibero-American Association of Engineering Teaching (ASIBEI), and the Union of University Social Responsibility from Latin America (URSULA).
