Training Webinar: GEOSUR's New Geoportal
The GEOSUR Program invites to the training webinar on the use of its new geoportal. This webinar is oriented to know the new applications and sections of the geoportal presented during the 10th Meeting of the Program on its tenth anniversary.
The GEOSUR Program, led by CAF -development bank of Latin America- in partnership with the Pan-American Institute of Geography and History (IPGH), invites to the webinar "Presentation of the new geoportal of GEOSUR". The webinar is aimed at specialists and users of geospatial information, who use the geoportal to discover, consult, analyze and visualize geographic information about the region.
This new geoportal incorporates new applications and a section related to the development of spatial data infrastructures.
The webinar will cover the use of geoportal applications such as the new thematic viewers, the flood monitoring service, the Topographic Processing Service (TPS) and the regional map viewer (RMV), as well as the section dedicated to the spatial data infrastructure of the countries of the region (IDE Americas). This section contains information regarding the geoportals of the participating institutions, the national SDIs and the section on the Latin American Metadata Profile version 2 (LAMP v2).
Specialists from the Earth Resources Observation and Science Center (EROS Center) of the United States Geological Survey (USGS), and the GEOSUR program will conduct the session.
The Webinar is free and will take place next Tuesday, November 14 (11/14/2017), at 10:30 am (Caracas time, UTC -4) with an estimated duration of 60 minutes.
