Design and Implementation of Agricultural Risk Management System
As part of the UK Prosperity Fund projects under its scope, CAF—development bank of Latin America—is interested in receiving proposals for the design and implementation of the Agricultural Risk Management Information System (SIGRA) for its agro-climatic component in the Rural Land Planning, Land Zoning and Agricultural Use Unit
The specific objectives of the call are as follows:
- To ensure readiness of the information necessary to manage agro-climatic risk, promoting articulated and sound information processes and services in the network of prioritized partners, under a gender and inclusion approach.
- To implement methodologies and develop models for estimating agro-climatic risk assessment parameters.
- To implement methodologies, models, analyses and indicators for agricultural risk management from an actuarial perspective, based on meteorological and agricultural surface and satellite information.
- To implement and roll out a technology solution that helps manage agro-climatic risk, under a gender and inclusion approach.
- To promote the dissemination, use and appropriation of information products and services for agro-climatic risk management.
- To implement strategies to strengthen IT governance of UPRA, in order to give sustainability and continuity to SIGRA and ensure its articulation with the Agricultural Rural Planning Information System (SIPRA).
Companies under the Prosperity Fund Commercial Framework interested in participating, or consortia or temporary partnerships led by them, must express their intention to participate to CAF, as set out in the reference terms no later than Thursday, October 3, 2019.
