CAF PPI - Access to second international bridge over Paraná River (Presidente Franco – Foz do Iguaçu)
Consulting services including land registry and design of the Social Action Plan to initiate complementary works of access to the second bridge over the Paraná River, connecting the towns of Presidente Franco (PY) and Foz do Iguaçu (BR)
The purpose of the CAF-PPI program is to finance the implementation of tasks to support CAF member countries in the design, formulation and pre-investment analysis for integration infrastructure projects in the energy, transport and telecommunications sectors that have been prioritized by the countries of the region.
The governments of Paraguay and Brazil have agreed to build a second bridge over the Paraná River between the cities of Presidente Franco (Paraguay) and Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil). The objective is to decongest the transit of the Amistad Bridge, promote the urban and rural planning of the impacted municipalities, allow the development of faster and more efficient connections between binational transport systems, and optimize the border control system.
