Expression of Interest for Feasibility Studies and Road Design in Paraguay
Procurement of Consulting Services for the development of technical, economic and socio-environmental feasibility studies, and final engineering design of the project for the improvement and preservation of National Route PY09, Cerrito (km 50) – Puente Remanso (south end) section
The purpose of the CAF-PPI Program is to finance CAF member country support tasks in the design, formulation and pre-investment analysis for integration infrastructure projects in the energy, transport and telecommunications sectors that have been prioritized by countries of the region.
The 761-km National Route No. 9 (PY09), known as Transchaco Road, is one of the main roads in Paraguay’s national road network. This road connects Asunción with the border with Bolivia, across the Chaco region, and is a main corridor for domestic and foreign communication.
This call to submit Expressions of Interest (EOIs) is addressed to consulting firms or associations of consulting firms formed or to be formed, which have proven experience in the consulting services described below, especially in the development of (technical, economic, financial and socio-environmental) feasibility studies and the preparation of engineering designs for the construction and preservation of road projects.
Firms may participate individually or as an association or consortium, as best suits their interests. The objectives of the two-phase consultancy are as follows:
Phase I. To conduct the technical, economic, financial and socio-environmental feasibility study
Phase II. To develop the tender-ready executive project engineering of the final layout selected by the MOPC in Phase I.
