Call for Technical Support of Regional Digital Hub (Panama)
Procurement of Consulting Services for specialized technical support that implements the recommendations issued in the Panama Digital Hub feasibility study and refines the roadmap with actions to be taken to establish the regional internet exchange point (R-IXP) in Panama.
The purpose of the CAF-PPI Program is to finance CAF member country support tasks in the design, formulation and pre-investment analysis for integration infrastructure projects in the energy, transport and telecommunications sectors that have been prioritized by countries of the region.
With the approval of Panama’s Ministry of Economy and Finance, together with the National Authority for Government Innovation (AIG) and Presidency of the Republic of Panama and CAF’s support, a Non-Refundable Technical Cooperation facility was approved for the “Feasibility Study for the Establishment of a Regional Internet Exchange Point (R-IXP) in Panama,” which has been completed.
This call to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) is for (individual) consultants with proven experience in the consultancy services described below, especially related to: Coordination in regional telecommunications projects; international fund management, investment banking, public procurement processes or multilateral banks and/or development of national strategic infrastructure plans.
This public call is scheduled as follows:
- Start date: Monday, January 25, 2021.
- Deadline for doubts and clarifications: Friday, January 29, 2021.
- Deadline for receipt of proposals/expressions of interest: Monday, February 8, 2021.
