Comprehensive consulting for studies on the structuring of the new concession of Brazil’s Western Railway Network

We are opening the call for Expressions of Interest from consultants interested infeasibility and support studies for the structuring of the new concession of the Brazil’s Western Railway Network. We have recently approved technical cooperation for project structuring, which had its recommended PPI rating through CPPI Resolution No. 146 of 12/2/2020.

The first stage of this contract is the receipt of Expressions of Interest. This stage is aimed at individual or consortium consultancies, with proven experience in services related to the comprehensive structuring of railway infrastructure projects. Consultants may participate individually or in a partnership or consortium.

As a result of this call, we will prepare a list of companies that will be invited to submit their technical and economic offers to participate in the selection process. The selected participant will then be invited to negotiate their consulting services contract for the structuring of the new railway concession.

Brazil’s Western Railway Network 

With 1,973 km of meter-gauge tracks, Brazil’s Western Railway Network runs through the states of Sao Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul, connecting with the main export corridors and Santos, Brazil’s most important port.

This call is a great opportunity to expand and modernize this railway infrastructure under a concession.

The preliminary draft schedule contemplates contracting consultants for studies in the first half of 2021, making the public announcement and auction of the new concession in the first half of 2023

Goal: Call to submit Expressions of Interest (EoI) to provide comprehensive consulting services related to technical, economic and environmental studies, legal counseling and campaign of dissemination and interaction with the market, for the structuring of the new concession of Brazil’s Western Railway Network.
