A business meeting is to be held between the member countries of the Andean
Community and Russia. The principle aim of the encounter is to strengthen
mutual knowledge and relations, and set up communication channels to open up
access to important and very
attractive opportunities for trade.
The first meeting will concentrate on initiating relations between the
Russian Federation and the Andean countries and on getting know the economic
potential and the prospects and opportunities offered by the two markets.
Closer contacts of this nature will stimulate more permanent Andean-Russian
relations with a view to:
- Strengthening and improving Andean-Russian trade relations
- Holding meetings on mutual cooperation in the short- and medium-term and
stimulating the setting up of joint ventures and strategic alliances.
