This event is organized by CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, and Nacional Financiera S.N.C., I.B.D. -NAFIN-, with the support of the Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit of Mexico.
For CAF, an institution committed to the development of the region, organizing an event such as this entails the objective of bringing together governmental, entrepreneurial, and academic institutions, and the communications media interested in the development of infrastructure in Latin America, to strengthen dialogue and reflection about the main findings and proposals of the IDEAL Report on the trends regarding transportation, logistics, energy, telecommunications, basic water and sanitation, and urban development.
The Conference will deal with priority subjects of the strategic agenda, as detailed in the program, including: the latest trends and novelties of infrastructure in the region, and of the diverse sectors that make it up and their sustainability; analysis of the infrastructure needed to boost aspects of the domestic development of the countries; infrastructure in the cities; productivity in the use of resources; the roles of the State and the market; case analysis regarding the role of infrastructure in the international insertion of the economies of the region. In addition, other subjects are developed regarding infrastructure and food and agriculture chains, cargo logistics, and entrepreneurial development in infrastructure works and services.
