Launching of the Guide for Transforming Corporate Volunteer Work
The launching of the "Guide for Transforming Corporate Volunteer Work" will take place on June 8th in the city of Bogota. This initiative is promoted by the Fundación de la Asociación Nacional de Industriales de Colombia (ANDI) (Foundation of the National Association of Industrialists of Colombia), CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, and the Asociación Civil Trabajo Voluntario (Civil Association Volunteer Work).
The guide promotes "Corporate Volunteer Programs" of the private sector through a strategy aimed at defining projects that enable a social investment that is pertinent, sustainable, that has an impact, and hig value added for the company, the volunteers, and the community.
This initiative is specially relevant now as Colombia advances in the negotiations of a peace agreement, and the private enterprise, as a generator of opportunities, may make great contributions in the construction of a more equitable and inclusive country.
The presentation will include the participation of Jaime Ulloa, of the Asociación Civil Trabajo Voluntario (Civil Association Volunteer Work), Isabella Barrios, Director of the ANDI Foundation, and Ana Mercedes Botero, CAF's Director of Social Innovation.
