Hangout: public transportation and gender
Women and men do not use public transportation in the same way. Their movement patterns have economic and social consequences. These points will guide the lecture, aimed at understanding and offering proposals for public policies.
Working toward Habitat III and imagining Latin American cities that are more productive and enjoy a better quality of life, the proposal of this subject that relates transportation and gender not only seeks to expand knowledge on the current situation, but also to include proposals that promote equity and social inclusion, empowerment of women, and the resulting productive and economic boost.
