Online Seminar: Financial Products Designed for Women
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the website FinDev and CAF are organizing this seminar for financial institutions, public policy makers, technical assistance providers, researchers and consultants
Online Seminar: “Financial Products Designed for Women: Success cases in Latin America and the Caribbean” was conceived because most countries in the region are lagging behind in terms of financial literacy and access to credit for women. This leaves them with less saving capacity, limited access to loans and, ultimately, fewer chances of productive development.
Through this seminar, however, the FinDev Gateway and CAF seek to promote some successful initiatives in the region that have used their knowledge of women to design a profitable and differentiated value proposition by offering financial services tailored to the needs of women. We will dwell on some of them in this forum.
Panelists will discuss the status of products and financial services designed for women in LAC and what can be done to reverse this situation, while exhibitors from the Dominican Republic’s Banco BHD León, Bolivia’s Pro Mujer and Paraguay’s Interfisa will share their lessons learned in designing and implementing financial products for women in the region.
