CAF grants US$600 million in loans to Peru

The Peruvian minister of Economy and Finance, Javier Silva Ruete, accompanied by the executive president & CEO of Corporación Andina de Fomento, Enrique García, announced that CAF will soon approve a multi-sector loan for US$300 million.
The Peruvian minister of Economy and Finance, Javier Silva Ruete, accompanied by the president of the Andean Development Corporation, Enrique García, announced that CAF will soon approve a multi-sector loan for US$300 million. With a previous loan of US$250 million approved in December last year and other projects in execution, drawdowns in the first half of this year will total US$600 million.
Enrique García said the loans are to support the process of democratic transition in a framework of macroeconomic stability.
Minister Silva Ruete said Peru would obtain significant benefits from the new CAF credit, enabling the release of a large volume of public funds for other State obligations.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), CAF -development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean-, the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries and the Tobago House of Assembly celebrated the successful completion of the “Digitization and Innovation for the Competitiveness and Sustainability of the Agribusiness Sector in Trinidad and Tobago” project.
