Metropolitan Urban Information System
In keeping with the strategic guidelines for strengthening institutions, the Preandino-CAF Project has been supporting the Metropolitan Mayoralty through its Secretariat of Urban Planning and Environmental Management in the development of a Metropolitan Urban Information System (SIUM after its initials in Spanish), a technological platform capable of integrating and generating information by combining variables that will make it possible to obtain future a view of Caracas and of its sustainable development.
On Monday, July 12, the director of the Secretariat of the Metropolitan Mayoralty’s Urban Planning, Leopoldo Provenzali, gave a presentation of the operating model and bases for the integration of the SIUM at the CAF, which was attended by representatives of the Mayoralty’s Technical Secretariats, the different municipalities that make up the Caracas Metropolitan Area, and ESRI de Venezuela.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), CAF -development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean-, the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries and the Tobago House of Assembly celebrated the successful completion of the “Digitization and Innovation for the Competitiveness and Sustainability of the Agribusiness Sector in Trinidad and Tobago” project.
