The excellent results for 2004 position CAF, once again, as the main source of multilateral financing for the countries of the Andean Community and as the most competitive Latin American issuer on international capital markets based on its excellent risk ratings.
The report highlights the broad support that the institution offers through its strategic programs for the renewed sustainable development agenda that it is promoting in Latin America. It also includes an examination of the regional economic context and the future of integration, and concludes with the financial statements audited by the firm of independent public accountant KPMG.

The amount represents the largest international facility ever undertaken by Sicredi, with the involvement of four internationally renowned entities: Banco Finantia, BNP Paribas, Eco.business Fund, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC). The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), CAF -development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean-, the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries and the Tobago House of Assembly celebrated the successful completion of the “Digitization and Innovation for the Competitiveness and Sustainability of the Agribusiness Sector in Trinidad and Tobago” project.
