Venezuela: Social Capital in Action
The Caracas Metropolitan University organized the International Seminar: Social Capital in Action with the presence of representatives from Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, United States, Norway, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic and Venezuela.
Rector José Ignacio Moreno Léon gave the welcoming remarks. During the event the speakers covered topics such as The Role of Development Agencies and Governments; Local Governments; Universities and the Communities; Promotion of the Social Economy; Social Management of Local Governments and NGOs, and the University Social Pact.
The speakers included the CAF vice president of social and environmental development in the session on The Role of Development Agencies and Governments; and the CAF director of governance and technical cooperation in the debate on Local Governments.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), CAF -development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean-, the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries and the Tobago House of Assembly celebrated the successful completion of the “Digitization and Innovation for the Competitiveness and Sustainability of the Agribusiness Sector in Trinidad and Tobago” project.
