Standard & Poor's Ratings Services revised its outlook on CAF’s long-term issuer credit rating to 'positive' from 'stable'.
(June 29, 2006) Standard & Poor's Ratings Services revised its outlook on CAF’s long-term issuer credit rating to positive from stable, leaving its credit ratings unchanged (‘A’ long for long term and 'A-1' for short-term).
According to S&P, the revised outlook is a result of CAF’s unparalleled shareholder support, evidenced by continuous capital contributions; improvement of the quality of its loan portfolio; a strong risk-bearing capacity relative to loans, equity investments, and guarantees; and its experience and success as a borrower in the international capital markets, even during times of regional distress.
