Finance for sewage project in Quito

EMAAP-Q signs agreement for the construction of sewage systems in various city districts.
(Quito, September 11, 2006).- An agreement was signed for the construction of sewage systems to benefit various districts in the city. The signing in the San Juan de Calderón church took place in the presence of Quito Metropolitan District Mayor Paco Moncayo; EMAAP-Q general manager Juan Neira; and CAF representative in Ecuador Luis Paláu-Rivas.
The agreement covers the construction of the interceptor and secondary networks for the San Juan, Bellavista, Los Nardos and Vilcabamba barrios in Calderón parish. The contractor for the work is Engineer Germánico Molina Vega. Execution is scheduled to take one year.
This major public work will be financed from the US$25-million CAF loan for drinking water and sanitation in Quito, signed by CAF and the Quito Metropolitan District on March 23, 2006.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), CAF -development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean-, the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries and the Tobago House of Assembly celebrated the successful completion of the “Digitization and Innovation for the Competitiveness and Sustainability of the Agribusiness Sector in Trinidad and Tobago” project.
