In Peru trade and environment go hand in hand

Thanks to CAF and USAID four macro-regional consultation workshops were held to define the main points of the National Trade and Environment Strategy.
In the workshops held in Iquitos, Trujillo, Lima, and Arequipa consultations were also presented on trade and environment issues related to the Trade Promotion Agreement between Peru and the United States.

The amount represents the largest international facility ever undertaken by Sicredi, with the involvement of four internationally renowned entities: Banco Finantia, BNP Paribas, Eco.business Fund, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC). The funds raised can also be used in regions with a Human Development Index below the national average.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), CAF -development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean-,  the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries and the Tobago House of Assembly  celebrated the successful completion of the “Digitization and Innovation for the Competitiveness and Sustainability of the Agribusiness Sector in Trinidad and Tobago” project. The closing ceremony, that took place on the 29th of July, marked a significant milestone in the country's efforts to modernize and enhance the agricultural sector.

At the 1st National Congress of Hydrographic Basins, CAF – development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean – highlighted the importance of Panama's water potential and underlined the need to address climate variability and the reduction in water availability as critical challenges in the context of climate change. Representatives of the National Government, academia, and civil society leaders participated in the event, who discussed strategies for the sustainable management of water resources.
