The closure of the Basic Tools for Governance and Consensus
Building Program led by CAF ended successfully.
The aim was to strengthen the skills of actors in public and private sectors, offering workshops on consensus building in the country.

(Quito, August 20, 2007).- The Andean Development Corporation,
as part of its Basic Tools for Governance and Consensus-Building
Program, organized four workshops for the main actors in state and
civil society, to equip them with tools and methodologies for use
of a common language and relationship management.
CAF Representative in Ecuador Luis Paláu-Rivas emphasized the
importance of the workshops organized by the Corporation. They
provide public and private actors with tools to achieve better
agreements and make progress with the variety of interests and
needs that exist at different levels.
The Basic Tools for Governance and Consensus Building Program consisted of the following workshops:
Negotiation
Strategic
communication,
Leadership and
persuasion; and
Management of
strategic relations with the public sector.
The fourth workshop - Management of strategic relations with the public sector - was given by Gustavo Valázquez Betancourt and Igor Cuotto, both exports from the Cambridge International Consulting, an international organization with professionals trained at Harvard University.
The closure of the event took place with the participation of prominent business and political leaders.
