Agreement to strengthen textile sector in Ecuador
The project will consolidate the textile cluster in the area by establishing businesses in the long term between the marketing companies of the Azuay Textile Consortium and small workshops, guaranteeing compliance with delivery times and the quality of final products, all as part of a fair price policy. The project involves three important manufacturing companies (Zhiros, Cramer and F&Y Tejidos) and 23 small workshops in Azuay province.
The project will strengthen the technical capacities of small workshops and improve the commercial and administrative areas of the companies with a view to competing on a level with national industries of other important textile centers and initiate exploration of new markets.
This project is part of the Competitiveness Support Program (PAC), set up by CAF with the objective of improving the levels of competitiveness of the productive sectors of the country.
