The exhibition showcases the works of young painters such as Maurizio Barraco from Italy who has participated in various collective exhibitions and whose work investigates the space of the color of combination.
The show includes contributions by David Eduardo Santillán from Ecuador, whose work "Crisis" captures the difficult decision of passing to the other side of the window "despite seeing that it is impossible."
Stella Sidi, Argentine painter, presents "Prohibited Loves," in pencil on paper and sgrafitto and pastel, which relates stories from the universal history of unauthorized relations.
The Colombian representatives include the paintings of Libardo Archiva which show the human side of the artist; María Isabel Vargas Arbeláez who in her first participation in the biennial exhibits a robotic facet of women inspired by a Japanese technology magazine; and Oscar Salamanca who invites us to meditate on the cultural origins of the public which observes.
The sixth SIART Contemporary Art Biennial 2009 is being held in various cultural spaces in La Paz and is part of the celebrations of the Bicentenary of the Revolution of July 16.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), CAF -development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean-, the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries and the Tobago House of Assembly celebrated the successful completion of the “Digitization and Innovation for the Competitiveness and Sustainability of the Agribusiness Sector in Trinidad and Tobago” project.
