Contemporary Argentine artists in CAF Gallery
- South American talent is reflected in the works of important contemporary Argentine artists: Andrés Labaké, Cristina Tomsig, Eduardo Esquivel, and Gonzalo Gorostiaga
- The exhibition of paintings and sculptures is an opportunity to approach current Argentine art
The vice president & deputy CEO of the Latin American development bank, Luis Enrique Berrizbeitia, said, "for CAF this exhibition is one more step in its objective of contributing to knowledge of the culture of our countries and stimulating another dimension of Latin American integration. The CAF Gallery is giving over its spaces to creation in the plastic arts as universal language which transcends all borders."
Cavenarg President Benjamín Tripier said," painting and sculpture capture the essence and soul of all peoples, and their social, political and economic situation. CAF, acting as showcase for all Latin American cultural expressions, is hosting in its spaces a diverse show of current Argentine art."
"Contemporary Argentine artists" reveals the current diverse tendencies which interpret themes of particular topicality, such as the hyperrealist expression of the ancestral ceramics of Gonzalo Gorostiaga; the arts-craft experience in the work of Eduardo Esquivel; the particularity of the air vision of Andrés Labaké; and the subtlety of the sculpture of Cristina Tomsig.
The selection covers a broad range of expressions reflecting the vitality of the current Argentine artistic movement. The show will be open to the public until June.
