Latin America’s Urban Mobility Observatory Projects The Image of 15 of the Continent’s Metropolises for the first time

Thanks to the start up of Urban Mobility Observatory for Latin America, which evaluates the transport and mobility situation in 15 countries in the region, it has been possible to put together a solid document of situations, trends, and priorities for the public and private sectors. The rapid growth of the automotive park, the secondary costs (externalities) of mobility, and the responsibility of the State in the public transport issue are a fundamental part of the debate with regard to the future.

The amount represents the largest international facility ever undertaken by Sicredi, with the involvement of four internationally renowned entities: Banco Finantia, BNP Paribas, Eco.business Fund, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC). The funds raised can also be used in regions with a Human Development Index below the national average.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), CAF -development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean-,  the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries and the Tobago House of Assembly  celebrated the successful completion of the “Digitization and Innovation for the Competitiveness and Sustainability of the Agribusiness Sector in Trinidad and Tobago” project. The closing ceremony, that took place on the 29th of July, marked a significant milestone in the country's efforts to modernize and enhance the agricultural sector.

At the 1st National Congress of Hydrographic Basins, CAF – development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean – highlighted the importance of Panama's water potential and underlined the need to address climate variability and the reduction in water availability as critical challenges in the context of climate change. Representatives of the National Government, academia, and civil society leaders participated in the event, who discussed strategies for the sustainable management of water resources.
