City streets decked out in yellow for the La Paz 3600 10K race

  • The second 10-kilometer race took place with total success and the participation of over 7,500 runners; proving once again that the altitude of the Bolivian capital does not prevent healthy sports practice.
  • Eduardo Aruquipa and Beatriz Quispe obtained the best times and as absolute winners will receive CAF support for participating in the marathon the institution is organizing for February 20 in Caracas, Venezuela.
  • Official T-shirts, commemorative medals, hydration en route and snacks, were some of the incentives that motivated the interest of the participants, along with over US$3,400 in prizes presented to the winners of the five categories.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), CAF -development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean-,  the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries and the Tobago House of Assembly  celebrated the successful completion of the “Digitization and Innovation for the Competitiveness and Sustainability of the Agribusiness Sector in Trinidad and Tobago” project. The closing ceremony, that took place on the 29th of July, marked a significant milestone in the country's efforts to modernize and enhance the agricultural sector.

At the 1st National Congress of Hydrographic Basins, CAF – development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean – highlighted the importance of Panama's water potential and underlined the need to address climate variability and the reduction in water availability as critical challenges in the context of climate change. Representatives of the National Government, academia, and civil society leaders participated in the event, who discussed strategies for the sustainable management of water resources.
