As part of its Social Action through Music Program, CAF is sponsoring the official presentation of National Youth Symphony of the Sodre "José Artigas" at the Adela Reta National Auditorium.
(Montevideo, December 16, 2011).- With the sponsorship of CAF - Latin American development bank - and as part of its Social Action for Music Program (PASM), SODRE and the Uruguayan Youth and Children's Orchestras System Foundation will formally present the National Youth Symphony of the Sodre "José Artigas" at the Adela Reta National Auditorium (esquinas Mercedes y Andes). The event has the support of the embassies of Spain and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The concert will be held next Wednesday December 21 at 20:30 h with free admission.
Under the baton of Maestro Ariel Britos, a selection of 133 young musicians will perform the "Fourth Symphony" of Peter Tchaikovsky, El Huapango of José Pablo Moncayo, and "Fanfare for the Common Man" of Aaron Copland, in an evening filled with freshness, virtuosity, energy and hope.
The National Youth Symphony of SODRE "José Artigas" offers talented musicians access to high quality training through the "National Orchestral Training Program" led by a staff of prestigious Uruguayan teachers. For the preparation of this concert nine international maestros traveled to Uruguay from Venezuela and Spain.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), CAF -development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean-, the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries and the Tobago House of Assembly celebrated the successful completion of the “Digitization and Innovation for the Competitiveness and Sustainability of the Agribusiness Sector in Trinidad and Tobago” project.
