- Enrique García lauded the Ecuadorean city as an urban development icon in the region and discussed CAF’s activities for sustainable cities in Latin America.
- International investors attended the tourism and investment forum, opened by Guayaquil Mayor Jaime Nebot.
In his speech, CAF President Enrique García stressed the importance of urban centers as development engines for Latin America, highlighting the Latin American development bank’s contribution in that regard. “CAF’s action in favor of Latin American cities is based on a comprehensive agenda that promotes the development of coordinated investment programs, including social, economic, productive, environmental and cultural aspects.”

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), CAF -development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean-, the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries and the Tobago House of Assembly celebrated the successful completion of the “Digitization and Innovation for the Competitiveness and Sustainability of the Agribusiness Sector in Trinidad and Tobago” project.
