Emerging Market Forum 2012
The event serves as a venue for leaders from more than 30 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America to share their points of view on pressing issues linked to the new balance in the global economy, the implications of a slowdown in the global economy for emerging markets, the global public agenda by 2015 and an overhaul to the global financial architecture.
The Forum was co-chaired by Enrique García, executive president of CAF–development bank of Latin America; Fidel Ramos, former president of the Republic of the Philippines; Michel Camdessus, honorary governor of the Bank of France and former managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF); Horst Koehler, former president of the Federal Republic of Germany; and Haruhiko Kuroda, president of the Asian Development Bank. The event was hosted by Hiroshi Watanabe, CEO and president of Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC).

The amount represents the largest international facility ever undertaken by Sicredi, with the involvement of four internationally renowned entities: Banco Finantia, BNP Paribas, Eco.business Fund, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC). The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), CAF -development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean-, the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries and the Tobago House of Assembly celebrated the successful completion of the “Digitization and Innovation for the Competitiveness and Sustainability of the Agribusiness Sector in Trinidad and Tobago” project.
