The event, held in Manila, Philippines, was an ideal opportunity to highlight the successful model of cooperation between ADB and CAF, with joint initiatives in the areas of transportation, competitive cities, corporate governance, as well as sharing of experiences and best practices in their respective regions.

In addition, Luis Toro, Principal Executive to the Vice Presidency of Finance at CAF, referred to the successful framework of cooperation between both institutions, the development of diverse projects and the strategy that has been implemented.
CAF, ADB promote Latin America, Caribbean links with Asia-Pacific
CAF has forged a strategic partnership with the ADB to deepen the relation of Latin America and the Caribbean with the Asia-Pacific region, particularly sharing their experiences on relevant issues for the sustainable development and regional integration. As part of this alliance, CAF and ADB also support initiatives to contribute to institutional strengthening, public policies and interregional forums to promote trade and investments, and dialogue between public and private actors.
The synergy between both institutions reflects CAF’s interest in integrating more actively into the Asia-Pacific region, not only by promoting trade and investments, but also by fostering South-South cooperation.
