São Paulo’s road network will be improved and expanded
Through the improvement and intervention of 316 Km distributed in several tranches in different locations in the state, transportation costs will be reduced and traffic access and security will increase.
The infrastructure changes in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil, through the improvement and intervention of 316 Km distributed in several tranches, will reduce transportation costs and increase access and security in traffic through the Transportation, Logistic, and Environment Program.
The final cost of this intervention will reach USD 285 million, of which 200 million will be financed by CAF -Development Bank of Latin America- and the remaining part by the local counterpart.
The general objective of the program is to contribute with economic and social development, improving and widening the State's road network. This will enable more than 40 million inhabitants to carry out their economic and social activities.
The improvement in the transportation infrastructure is essential for the development not only of the State but also for the whole country. The Program seeks to optimize the road system and integration logistics to improve accessibility.
Sao Paulo's road network is one of the largest in Brazil. The execution of the improvement and expansion works will strengthen the infrastructure and promote its economic development.
The proposed interventions include infrastructure works such as pavement, recovery works, implementation of double lanes, a third lane, and complementary works.
