Bogota, March 2014)-.Enrique Garcia, Executive President of CAF, and Pablo Navas, President of the Universidad de Los Andes, subscribed a framework cooperation agreement in Bogota, in which the Latin American Financial Institution will provide support to the University to promote reflection and analysis regarding topics of interest for Latin America.
The agreement with the Universidad de los Andes anticipates the development of a joint research and dissemination program regarding issues related to infrastructure, including regional and frontier infrastructure, urban mobility, use of ICT's, and sustainable energy. In addition, a research and dissemination program will be established regarding citizen safety and criminality.
In the framework of the activities to be carried out in the future, the development of an Annual Conference on Latin America is planned. It will include the participation of academics and policy makers of other countries in the region, and members of the academic alliances that CAF has developed at an international level.
CAF's connection with an extensive network of think tanks and universities at a regional and global scale, allows it to deepen its work in favor of exchange and the generation of knowledge regarding Latin America, and the critical factors for its development.
