Entrepreneurs will Learn How to Present Proposals to Investors
From March 31st to April 3rd, a workshop will take place in the Institute of the Americas to show examples of successful alliances between innovators from the United States and Latin America.
(San Diego, March 2014). In order to promote economic development, encourage innovation, attract investment and talent, and inspire entrepreneurs, CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, jointly with Qualcomm and Origo Ventures sponsors a training workshop that will take place from March 31st to April 3rd at the Institute of the Americas in San Diego.
The initiative will offer tools to face cultural challenges, it will show examples of successful alliances between innovators from the United States and Latin America, and will teach through a tutorial about how to structure a startup and present it to investors.
The workshop is aimed at entrepreneurs, startups, investors, Directors of research centers, industry associations, and government officials.
The participants will meet with entrepreneurs from Tijuana and will visit incubators in the Cali-Baja Innovation Mega Region. In addition, they will have the opportunity of making their presentations to investors.
Entrepreneurship and innovation are the starting point for the generation of new productive units that result in a greater socio-economic wellbeing for the region. At CAF, programs are designed and implemented to promote entrepreneurial development and competitiveness, with productive and social inclusion criteria that seek to generate knowledge and repeat successful experiences.
