The entity informed that this phase started just after the deadline for the reception of applications closed, with 846 applications from 20 countries in Latin America.
To this effect, the team of researchers, whose members may be consulted accessing www.innovadoresdeamerica.org, is already evaluating and validating the 846 proposed innovations.
It was explained that this process is used to show that the applications are valid and provable, in addition to confirming that they have made real contributions to the environment, society, science, or education, and have shown their feasibility and functioning.
After the first filter has been carried out, the researchers send them to the jury so that this group of three per category may select the finalists who will be announced on June 13th, 2014.
