International Risk Management Week is held in Brazil
The program focuses on risk control and distribution of assets, with an important emphasis on the analysis of market and credit risks and prospects
The First International Risk Management Week was held in Brasilia from November 10th to 13th, organized by the Central Bank of Brazil with the support of CAF, Development Bank of Latin America.
The objective of the meeting is to promote the exchange of knowledge between delegates of central banks and other official institutions on issues relative to risk control and distribution of assets, with an emphasis on market and credit risk, and prospects for the distribution of assets.
The event was inaugurated by Luis Edson Feltrim, Director of the Central Bank of Brazil, and Victor Rico Frontaura, CAF´s Director Representative in Brazil.
In his opening speech, Victor Rico made a brief summary of CAF's actions in the region, and highlighted the importance of central banks for the stability of the national financial systems in order to create the necessary conditions for the sustainable development of Latin America.
More than 14 delegations, including representatives from Colombia, Peru, Argentina, and Portugal, among others, participated in the event.
