The II CAF-LSE Conference: Geopolitics and the Global South. Challenges of the New World Order will be held on January 16th, at the Headquarters of the London School of Economics and Political Science. It will promote the analysis of the current dynamics of emerging countries and its impact on the configuration of a new world order. The complete event may be followed live at /caf-lse-2015.
On this occasion, the main speakers include Ricardo Lagos, former President of Chile, and Jose Maria Aznar, former President of the Government of Spain.
This year's program will address the geopolitics of development and security, the validity of multilateralism, and South-South cooperation in detail. The inaugural session will be in charge of Enrique Garcia, CAF's Executive President. Stuart Corbridge, Deputy Director of the LSE, and Chris Alden, Director of the Global South Unit of the LSE.
The event, organized by CAF, development bank of Latin America, and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), is carried out in the framework of the strategic alliance established between the two institutions in 2013 to promote reflection regarding the current dynamics of emerging countries and its impact on the configuration of a new international order.
