CAF promotes the strengthening of its relationships with Japan

Enrique Garcia, CAF's Executive President, went on a working visit to Tokyo on February 17th and 18th, with the objective of strengthening the excellent relationships with Japan.
In the framework of this visit, a joint seminar was held between CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), to analyze economic growth in Latin America during past years and its prospects, trade flows and bi-regional investment, joint cooperation opportunities, and financial and knowledge instruments for development.
Hiroshi Watanabe, President & CEO of the JBIC, and Enrique Garcia, CAF's President, inaugurated the seminar. It included an important number of experts and representatives of the public and private sectors of Japan and Latin America.
In addition, President Garcia held bilateral meetings with Haruhiko Kuroda, Governor of the Central Bank of Japan; Tatsuo Yamasaki, Vice Minister of Finance for International Affairs; and Kunio Okamura, Senior Counselor of JICA, among other authorities in the country.
