CAF makes donation to address the needs of the victims in Colombia
Enrique Garcia, CAF's Executive President, announced the approval of an immediate donation of USD 100,000 to support the Government of Colombia to provide relief to the victims and address the material damages resulting from the heavy rains and landslides in the Municipality of Salgar, Antioquia
Enrique Garcia, Executive President of CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, announced the approval of an immediate donation of USD 100,000 to support the Government of Colombia in providing relief to the victims and address the material damages resulting from the heavy rains and landslides in the Municipality of Salgar, Antioquia.
CAF's Executive President stated, "we want to express our solidarity with the Government and people of the Republic of Colombia in the face of the natural disaster that has resulted in a terrible loss of human lives". In addition, CAF immediately granted a loan to the government for up to USD 50 million, to contribute to finance the actions that need to be executed to overcome the emergency. "This line of credit is available for extreme events resulting from climate conditions, earthquakes, contaminating accidents, and epidemics that may affect CAF's shareholder countries in the region", he added.
