In order to promote leadership and development in the region, CAF organized a meeting with young people from the political, entrepreneurial, social, and cultural sectors
With the objective of having an active role in the development of new leadership in the region, CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, held the V Meeting of Latin American Young Leaders, in Panama. The meeting included the participation of 45 personalities from the political, entrepreneurial, social, and cultural sectors, who showed their analytical vision of the prospects and challenges of their countries, as well as their proposals to improve the quality of life of Latin Americans.
During the first day, on August 27th, participants strengthened their abilities in communications, negotiations, and leadership, through a simulation exercise. The dynamic presentation was in charge of Ricardo Pérez Nuckel, consultant and facilitator who lives between Europe and Latin America, experienced in conflict management and negotiations.
During the second day, August 28th, CAF's Executive President, Enrique García, participated in the conversation "Construir el futuro de América Latina con una mirada joven" (Building the future of Latin America with a young vision), together with Ismael Cala, a journalist at CNN en Español. Later, Sebastian Mazzuca, professor at John Hopkins University, talked about "The institutional development of Latin America".
Susana Pinilla, CAF's Director Representative in Panama, and Christian Asinelli, Director of Institutional Development, inaugurated the event where young leaders exchanged experiences regarding meeting spaces they have created within their communities, as well as development opportunities in the academic, political, social, entrepreneurial, and cultural fields.
With these meetings, CAF seeks to promote a space to debate, with the purpose of achieving greater interaction between participants, in order to promote progress in Latin America.
