SOMOS - Un Gol por Caracas organized a special day for this program on October 3rd at the facilities of the Mesuca Sports Complex in Petare, to promote development through soccer in this community, where it contributed sports equipment.
With this activity, CAF, Development Bank of America, the Fundación Amigos del Deportivo Petare (FADP), Proyecto Paz Latinoamérica (PPLA) and the Desarrollo Para el Desarrollo (DPD) foundation, advance in their joint work that uses soccer as an educational and social inclusion tool in Petare. The project is part of SOMOS, sports network for development in Latin America, a CAF initiative implemented in several countries of the region.
Approximately 18 soccer schools of the Sucre Municipal League will receive sports equipment which will directly benefit more than 1.500 boys, girls, and youths. The contribution is a complement to the training that SOMOS, together with Fundación Amigos del Deportivo Petare (FADP), Proyecto Paz Latinoamérica (PPLA) and the Desarrollo Para el Desarrollo (DPD) foundation have offered during the past two years to develop the social skills and strengthen the values of the children of Petare.
