Artespacio CAF shows the human expressions of the La Paz 3600 10 K race in photographic images
The exhibition brings together photographs and a video of the race, which this year received international certification as a responsible sports event
The Artespacio CAF gallery opened its 2016 exhibition cycle on February 11th, with a collective show of photographs that reflect the different moments lived during the VII version of the "La Paz 3600 10K race". The organization and development of this event this year received the international certification of the Council for Responsible Sports, for being a socially competitive and environmentally responsible event.
The cultural space at CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, will be open to the public with graphic documents of Patricio Crooker, Alejandro Álvarez, and Roberto Ranero until March 4th. In addition, a video will be shown, related to the environmental and social action lines developed prior to, during, and after the sports event, which allowed it to achieve the certification of this organization which is qualified and known worldwide.
The gallery's curator, Cecilia Lampo, explained that the show is divided into three parts: the first will have photographs of the development of the race itself; the second will have images of the arrival of the participants to the finish line, and the third shows the video that reflects all the process that led this Bolivian sports competition to achieve, for the first time, this important certification.
Lampo stated, "These photographs show the diversity, vigor, and sensibility of the participants when achieving their goal. The video shows the efficient work carried out by CAF for the development of the sports event. For example, with respect to consumption and efficient use of recyclable materials, low use of paper products, adequate management of solid residues, efficient use of water and energy, inclusion and social equity, quantification and reduction of the carbon footprint, and social objective, among others.
With respect to the photographs, the curator pointed out that in the first group, the images show the work of photographers Crooker and Alvarez in large format. Ranero's work will be shown in large and small formats that immortalize the arrival of some competitors to the finish line.
The exhibition "La Paz 3600 10K" may be visited between 09:00 and 12:00 hrs., and from 14:30 to 18:00 hrs. Artespacio CAF is located in Av. Arce Nº 2915, corner of Clavijo (San Jorge Area).
