CAF appoints new Director-Representative for Trinidad and Tobago
CAF -Development Bank of Latin America- has appointed Mr. Joel Branski as the new Director-Representative for Trinidad and Tobago, effective April 1, 2016.
Mr. Branski, a Brazilian national, has extensive experience on key development projects across Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as developing and managing operations and loan portfolios. He has held numerous technical and supervisory positions in the academia, private sector and multilateral organizations, and has developed and implemented several innovative tools to improve project design, execution, visualization and evaluation.
Over the past 22 years, Mr. Branski has pursued a successful career at the Inter-American Development Bank, where he has held managerial positions, such as Country Representative in Bolivia, Venezuela and Barbados.
The new Director-Representative will contribute to strengthening relations between CAF and Trinidad and Tobago through the joint formulation of comprehensive working programs with both the private and public sectors, aimed at furthering sustainable development and regional integration.
He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, an MSc and PHD in Environmental Water Resources from the Institut National Polytechnique, Toulouse, France, andaPost-Doctoral Research from the University of Texas in Austin.
