CAF and the Universidad Contemporánea Mondragón unite to promote the development of social enterprises in Mexico
The two organizations signed a non-reimbursable technical cooperation agreement to support the development of an internationalization plan and business alliances of the social and supportive economy companies in Mexico
The agreement, which will promote the creation of business alliances for social and supportive economy companies in Mexico, foresees the development of an internationalization plan for social enteprises through the transfer of successful experiences, and will identify business opportunities among them.
In addition, mechanisms for the transfer of knowledge and development of management models for the growth of social enteprises will be defined, and successful cases will be documented as well as opportunities for local and foreign business alliances. CAF's contribution for this non-reimbursable technical cooperation reaches USD 60,000.
The objective of the Universidad Contemporánea Mondragón is the creation, training, and operation of all types of educational establishments or institutions of any level, including elementary schools and university level institutions, as well as training professionals to incorporate them to the work market. In addition, it promotes the transfer and exchange of human resources, goods, services, capital, and technologies, in order to complement and contribute to the national development efforts.
With this agreement, CAF supports the productive and financial sectors of its member countries, through programs and projects that promote productive transformation and diversification, encourage entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as generation of employment, and knowledge that copies successful experiences and impacts on the development of public policies.
