CAF grants new line of financing to Banvivienda to support agriculture in Panama
CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, granted a line of financing to Banvivienda for USD 15 million, aimed exclusively at the agricultural sector
This new line of financing is in addition to the already approved USD 145 million for the country's banking system, part of which also finance the sector. Thus, CAF supports the productive transformation and competitiveness of a sector with high growth potential in Panama, with an increasing world demand, intensive in employment generation, and income with a great impact on social and territorial development.
Susana Pinilla, CAF's Director Representative in Panama, and the Executive Vice-President and General Manager of Banvivienda, Juan R. De Dianous H., led the act in which this line of financing was placed at the disposal of Banvivienda. Representatives from CAF in the act were Jaily Gómez, Mauricio Reves, and Roberto Harrington (Lawyer AFRA), and from Banvivienda the representatives were Fernando Lewis y Mariela Arce.
CAF has the mission to promote sustainable development and regional integration in Latin America through the financing of projects in the public and privates sectors.
