Promoting the development of technological patents in Panama
CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, with the support of the Secretaría Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación (SENACYT) (National Secretariat for Science, Technology, and Innovation), will hold the First Technological Patents Marathon in Panama City
With the objective of developing and strengthening institutional and entrepreneurial capacity for the accelerated conceptualization of innovating technologies and the development of patent applications aimed at international markets, CAF and SENACYT are promoting the patentable technological innovation program and the generation of international applications.
The training will take place in Panama City, from August 1 through 6. The program will continue the work carried out between CAF and the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá (UTP). To date, students and teachers of the UTP have generated more than 80 applications for patents through the CAF Method for the Accelerated Development of Technological Patents.
