Last week to apply to CAF's International Invitation to Participate in Impact Evaluations for Better Management
Up to eight proposals from the Latin American and Caribbean public sector will be selected to receive free advice from a highly qualified team, to design and implement a rigorous impact evaluation. Priority will be given to proposals dealing with habitat and urban development, infrastructure, transportation and logistics, and citizen safety and cities.
Proposals from public institutions of Latin America and the Caribbean will be received until April 30th. These proposals should deal with management programs or initiatives to learn about their impact, in the framework of CAF's I International Invitation to Participate in impact evaluations for better management, lead by the Direction of Impact Evaluation and Policy Learning at CAF, Development Bank of Latin America.
At all levels of any institution, independently of its objective and nature, decisions are made on how to use the resources or how to fulfill its objectives in the most effective manner, that is, the best way to manage the institution. This is the emphasis of this invitation, which will give priority to proposals dealing with habitat and urban development, infrastructure, transportation and logistics, and citizen safety and cities.
Initially, eight proposals will be selected to receive technical, logistic, and financial support for the design and implementation of impact evaluations of the highest scientific accuracy. Management initiatives or public programs that are currently being implemented or that will be implemented during the 12 months following the invitation will be eligible.
Winners will have a methodological rigorous impact evaluation proposal which will be led and managed by CAF's Direction of Impact Evaluation and Policy Learning. At the end of the proposal's design process, winners will receive a document detailing the evaluation methodology of the policy and its technical requirements. CAF's commitment is to leverage human and financial resources to cover the resources of the design and implementation phases of the evaluation.
