In addition, CAF executive president Luis Carranza noted that “through the Cities with Future initiative, CAF is supporting Latin American countries to build more inclusive, competitive, efficient and sustainable cities in order to improve the quality of life of citizens. We are offering the Municipality our experience and good practices in other cities of the region, to be used as benchmark to devise projects and activities jointly and promote the well-being and development of Lima residents.”
Areas of cooperation defined in the memorandum include strategic issues for the city such as urban development, mobility, infrastructure, environmental sustainability, institutional strengthening and promotion of e-government, among others, which will then materialize through specific agreements.
